What's behind the name
What's behind the name
Teleia (Τελεία) is an epithet of Hera — Hera Teleia, "the Fulfilled," "the Perfecter." Its root is telos: completion, fulfilment, the end a thing is made for. To the Greeks, marriage was a telos — a threshold at which a life came into its fullness — and Hera Teleia was its patron, presiding over the wedding rite and the bond it sealed.
That is the spirit we have named ourselves for. Teleia is about the pieces that mark that threshold: brooches and heirlooms that carry a family's story across it, and adornments made to complete a wedding day - not the beginning of a thing, but its fulfilment.
